Recuva is a file recovery tool that is very user-friendly. Removing files accidentally is something that happens more often than you think, no matter how literate your computer is. This is why it’s always good to have a tool like Recuva. With Recuva (pronounced “restore”), you can recover files accidentally deleted from a computer, USB drive, MP3 player, or even a memory card from your photo camera.
A very useful recovery wizard takes all guesses from finding your file. All you have to do is choose the type of file you want to restore (photos, emails, videos, etc.) and where it is possible (recycle bin, on media cards, etc.). As soon as Recuva is finished, you will see a list with all recoverable files, which you can sort in several ways or search with an adjustable filter tool. Then just select the file you want to restore and you are ready to go.
Obviously Recuva is just a software tool and can’t do wonders. The faster you use the program after deleting a file, the greater your chances of recovering it. Also, try saving it to a different drive: it increases the percentage of success. If you accidentally delete some important files, don’t panic: try using Recuva and you might be able to restore it!
